Ready to Become a Commercial REALTOR® Member?
Becoming a primary member of RICABOR offers valuable networking opportunities, professional development, and access to resources that enhance your real estate career.
To become a primary member of the Rhode Island Commercial and Appraisal Board of Realtors (RICABOR), you typically need to follow these steps:
1. Eligibility:
- You should hold a valid real estate license in Rhode Island or be a certified appraiser.
- You may need to be associated with a brokerage that is also a member of RICABOR or meet other professional criteria.
2. Application Process:
- Complete the Membership Application available on the RICABOR website or contact them directly for a form.
- Submit proof of your real estate license or appraiser certification.
3. Membership Dues:
- Pay the required membership dues. This typically includes local, state, and national REALTOR® dues (if you’re not already a member of another board).
- Dues vary, so check with RICABOR for the current rates.
4. Code of Ethics Training:
- You’ll be required to complete the NAR Code of Ethics training within a specific timeframe (often within your first year of membership).
5. MLS Access (Optional):
- If desired, you can apply for access to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) via RICABOR.
Once these steps are completed, you should be granted primary membership, giving you access to a variety of resources, networking opportunities, and professional development programs.
