Peter Regan, Esq.

Peter Regan, Esq. is Managing Partner of Sayer Regan & Thayer, LLP, a general practice law firm with offices in Newport and Wakefield, Rhode Island. Mr. Regan also serves as Town Solicitor for the Town of Middletown, Rhode Island. Mr. Regan concentrates his practice in civil and commercial litigation and commercial transactions, with emphasis on matters relating to real estate, zoning and land use, admiralty and maritime law. A former prosecutor, he has lectured before the Rhode Island State Police Training Academy and local Police Departments regarding the prosecution of DWI cases, and was a guest speaker at the 1993 Rhode Island Judiciary Conference on Drunk Driving Laws. In addition, Mr. Regan has lectured on matters relating to commercial law, real estate litigation and other issues.

Michael E. Monti, Esq. is a commercial and civil litigator with experience in real estate, construction, municipal, general contract, maritime, trusts and wills, and personal injury disputes. As a former clerk to Rhode Island Supreme Court Justice Francis X. Flaherty, and intern to Federal District Court Judge William E. Smith, Michael has a keen sense for evaluating the merits of any particular matter. This allows him to better meet his clients’ goals: achieving sensible outcomes in the most economically effective way.
Michael’s practice also involves commercial land use and development. Michael has obtained municipal approvals for projects in Newport and neighboring municipalities. Since 2021, Michael has also been the Assistant Town Solicitor for the Town of Middletown, Rhode Island.
