Code of Ethics
As a chartered member of the National Association of REALTORS®, the Board is responsible for enforcing the REALTOR® Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS®. Our REALTOR® members agree to subscribe to the Code in their daily business practices.

Education
The Rhode Island Commercial and Appraisal Board offers several ways to help you maintain your real estate and appraisal license. You can explore a variety of courses online through the CE Shop, which provides convenient access to essential continuing education resources.
Fair Housing Training
REALTORS® are required to complete Fair Housing / Anti-Bias Training upon becoming a member, and every 3 years thereafter, coinciding with the Code of Ethics training timeline.
This requirement is in addition to the Code of Ethics training.
Qualified training must be of not less than 2 hours of instructional time. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.
This requirement will begin January 1, 2025 with a deadline of December 31, 2027.

The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) has a commitment to the safety of its members and clients. The NAR’s REALTOR® Safety Program aims to educate members on how to stay safe while on the job and reduce risks.

Realtors Property Resource (RPR) is a digital platform and database that provides real estate information to members of the National Association of Realtors (NAR). RPR is a benefit included in NAR’s annual dues and is available at no additional cost.
