COE Requirements of Membership
New REALTORS®
As an obligation of membership, new REALTORS® must complete complete a course on the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS® within the first 120 days of their membership (2.5 hours) and must submit their certificate to us for our review. Only REALTOR® Code of Ethics classes offered by their local Board, their State Association or National Association of REALTORS® will be accepted per NAR.

The National Association of REALTORS® offers an online course. You will be asked to enter your 9-digit NRDS (National REALTOR® Database System) number. You should have received this number with your welcome email; however you can look it up with the link above.

Local Board Opportunities
The Board offers several courses throughout the year in cooperation with the Greater Providence Board of REALTORS®. They are approved for 3 core Rhode Island Real Estate licensee continuing education credits and are 3 hours in length. Click here to sign up for our next class offering
Check Your Code of Ethics Status
To see whether you have completed the course for the current cycle, check the National Association of REALTORS site and select the “View My Education Records” using your NRDS login information. If you do not know your NRDS number, please follow the prompts or contact RICABOR.
